Decembre 8th & 9th feature the Dutch Joomla!days in Den Bosch (The Netherlands) www.joomladag.nl . Henk van Cann is the founder of the Dutch & Flemish Joomladays, where the business offspring 2value is present with 2 out of 4 members of the organising committee. On the first day Joomla! in business will be the focus. The second day will be the Joomla! Community day. A number of key people from the Joomla! community will attend the conference, among them six core team members and a surprise guest. Besides sessions in Dutch/Flemish, both days will feature three sessions in English. The second Dutch Joomla!days are to be held on December 8th & 9th 2006, in Den Bosch, the Nederlands. On the first day Joomla! in business will be the focus. The second day will be the Joomla! Community day. Besides sessions in Dutch/Flemish, both days will feature three sessions in English. Business day For the business day we managed to get an interesting group of (international) speakers. in the morning we have three presentations. The first presentations will focus on open-source in general. Mr. Jo Lahaye, Foundation Holland Open will open up the program and talk about how open source can be put into your business model. Mr. Philipe (Belgium) Chabot of UNRIC will give new details on ongoing development at one of the the greatest Joomla!sites on earth United Nations www.unric.org. From the Google Summer of Code program management we have managed to contract Leslie Hawthorn. Leslie is working at the Open Source Program Office of Google Inc. Mountain View (United Stated) and will tell about the way Google is using Open Source in their business environment, and how Google is supporting Open Source.
In the afternoon we have powerworkshop and sponsored sessions. Johan Jansssens will do a in depth cover story of the 1.5 framework, Hagen Graf (Germany) will tell something about Joomla! in relation to other open source content management systems. Our main sponsors will share a Joomla! related business cases varying from international intranet solutions to large scale hosting projects. Community day In the afternoon the program contains parallel sessions. The main sponsors will do several sessions and share their expierence with Joomla! projects. The power workshops on the community day are more focused on some specific part of the 1.5 development. Johan Janssens will do a quick overview of the 1.5 framework, and Laurens Vandeput (development workgroup member and summer of code student) will do a in depth sessions about web services in Joomla! Coreteam member Anthony de Wilde and ex-coreteam member Robin Muilwijk will show how you migrate a 1.0 site to 1.5. Tom van Tellingen (senior community member) will show his talents with a template session. From a designers perspective he will show what is needed to create a Joomla! template.
